Kim Kardashian Refutes Allegations Regarding Insulting Nigerians On Twitter

There’s a raging controversy over a tweet purported to have been posted by American television reality star, Kim Kardashian describing Nigeria as a disgusting country.

Kim was heavily criticized for taking US$500,000 for what critics say was a ‘flash’ visit to Nigeria on February 14 2013.

She visited Nigeria to co-host a Valentine show ‘Love like a Movie’ by Nigerian R&B musician Darey Art Alade at the Convention Centre of Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, Nigeria.

It was reported that after some minutes on the red carpet and then the pre-event dinner with several high rated guests, Kim reportedly appeared on stage and spoke with patrons for only 45 seconds and left the venue.

Just when the controversy about her Nigeria visit was settling down, Kim Kardashian, who is expecting Kanye West’s child has been entangled in yet another controversy.

She was captured to have tweeted on Tuesday that: “Nigeria is such a disgusting country. I couldn’t wait to leave. lol Scott said their women look like apes and I agree.”

Hours after news about the damming tweet went viral, the celebrity star has tweeted that she did not send any such tweet.

Till now, all checks on her tweeter handle – @KimKardashian – did not prove the tweet.

The reality star however tweeted Wednesday that: “I see there’s a photo shopped tweet floating around, supposedly something I said about Nigeria. That was NOT me, or my feelings.”

She also added that: “That fake tweet is very disturbing & I would NEVER EVER tweet something like that.”

Kourtney Kardashian & Scott Disick Welcomes Baby Girl

Congratulations are in order for American reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian and boyfriend Kourtney Kardashian.

The 33-year-old gave birth to her second child, a baby girl early Sunday morning in Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The baby girl was named Penelope Scotland Disick. In a statement to E! Entertainment, the proud mother said:

“Scott and I are overjoyed to welcome our precious angel Penelope Scotland Disick into our lives. We are forever blessed. Mommy and baby are resting comfortably.”

The backbone of the Kardashian family, Kris Jenner also made this statement to E! Entertainment:
“The baby weighed in at 7 pounds, 14 ounces. It was great. She had an easy delivery. Penelope is so cute. She looks just like Mason. She’s so beautiful. We are so happy.”

Congrats to the whole Kardashian clan and of course the Disick family.

Kim And Kanye Are Moving In Together

Our latest Hollywood couple, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are set to move in together.

They are presently house hunting in New York City and as soon as they get a place they both love, they will move in together.

I hear Kim is also about to put her house up for sale because she wouldn’t need the house anymore once she moves in with Kanye.

I don’t think that is a wise decision. She doesn’t need to sell her house just because she’s moving in with her boyfriend. What if something happens tomorrow?? This is Hollywood we are talking about. It doesn’t matter how long it takes, something is definitely going to happen.

Philip Philips To Undergo Surgery

Philip Philips who won the just concluded 11th season of American Idol, is set to undergo an urgent kidney surgery.

Philip is said to have had a long history of kidney stones, but it got worse while he was on the American Idol show.

His doctor has therefore declared that he needs to undergo an urgent kidney surgery.

Philip will be spending several days in the hospital, which will be followed by a six-week recovery period.

Happy Married Life To Funke Akindele

Its no news anymore that talented yoruba Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele aka Jenifa is now a married woman.

Funke’s wedding which took place on friday May 25th 2012 and saturday May 26th 2012, really went down with lots of controversies which she obviously seems to have toppled over.

These controversies stem from the fact that Funke who is a christian, married a muslim man who is alleged to be married with kids. This therefor means that Funke is officially his second wife and now known as Funke Khadijat Almaroof (Nee Akindele).

Just this morning on twitter a fan tweeted this at her:

”My sister, Funke Akindele, hope you are still in CHRIST?”

Funke responded:

“Always in Christ!! He’s my strength and shield. Thanks.”

Then she went on to tweet this:

“Thanks a lot for the lovely wishes! God bless you all. Sulia Kan! Tweethearts Kan”!!

Jackie Chan Is Not Retiring From Action Movies

A LOT of blogs and websites have been reporting that Jackie Chan is retiring from doing action movies due to the statement he made at the just concluded Cannes Film Festival.

Jackie Chan says he never said that and was mis-interpreted. He therefore went on today to release a formal statement to the public.

“Hello All My friends and fans,

During my press conference in Cannes Film Festival for ‘Chinese 12 Zodiac’, I said that this movie was my last big action movie.

I was shocked when I woke up to read all the news coverage that I was retiring from doing Action movies.

I just want to let everyone know that I am not retiring from doing action movies. What I meant to say is that I need to do less of the life risking stunts on my movies. After all these years of doing so many stunts and breaking so many bones, I need to take better care of my body so I can keep working.

I will continue to do international action movies.

And I will also keep improving my English.

I love all of you!

Will Smith is reported to have slapped a journalist on the face on Friday, May 18, 2012.

The journalist who happens to be from Ukraine walked up to Will Smith on the red carpet of the world premiere of his new movie MIB3 and tried to hug him first, then kissing him on both cheeks before trying to kiss him on the lips. Will Smith immediately responded with a backhanded slap to the face.

CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg who’s worth over $19billion is now a married man.

28year old Mark, married his longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan at a small ceremony in their backyard attended by less than 100 guests in Palo Alto, Calif, yesterday 19th May 2012.

The invited guests actually thought they were coming over for a surprise party to celebrate Chan’s graduation from UCSF medical school, where on May 14 she received her degree in pediatrics.

However, Zuckerberg and Chan had been secretly planning the wedding for more than four months. So the guests got there instead, to witness a wedding.

Jennifer Lopez Is Leaving American Idol

Jennifer Lopez is definitely leaving American Idol. After this current season of American Idol ends, JLO is no longer coming back as a judge on the show.

This she says is due to the fact that she has a lot of projects which she needs to attend to and cannot combine them with being a judge on American Idol.

Its certain that she will be greatly missed on the show but the big question now is, who will take her place??

Britney Spears showed up on the red carpet of Xfactor’s big announcement about Demi Lavato joining them at the judges table, with a teary eye and a bleeding finger nail.

The big question now is, what is up with this lady?

Who shows up on a red carpet with fingers bleeding and tears in her eye if not someone with some kind of issues?

It would have been better if she had stayed away from that red carpet and tongues be wagging about her missing the big event instead of tongues wagging now about maybe she still has drug issues.

Forbes as usual, compiled their yearly ‘World’s Most Powerful Celebrity’ list and this year 2012, Jennifer Lopez is number 1 on a list of 100 to 1.

Jennifer Lopez is said to have made a whooping $52million just within a space of one year, that’s from 2011 to now.

She is also said to have racked up over 23,000 press mentions, graced 46 major magazine covers, topped People’s 2011 Most Beautiful list and became a Glamour Woman of the Year.

In May 2011, she released her first album in four years, with Island/Def Jam Records. She also used the Idol platform to premiere music videos and perform singles. Last year’s ‘On The Floor’ went multi-platinum, according to RIAA, and the music video amassed over 530 million YouTube views.

Bishop TD Jakes Produces Yet Another BlockBuster Movie

News reaching me states that Bishop T.D. Jakes, has produced a film based on the life of South African leader Nelson Mandela and his wife Winnie Mandela.

The movie is a love story which focuses on Winnie’s efforts and support for her husband and the entire country during the political turmoil under the apartheid system. It features Oscar winner, Jennifer Hudson as Winnie and Terrence Howard as Nelson.

Bishop Jakes has produced great movies like; Woman Thou Art Loosed, Jumping the Broom and Sparkle (a soon to be released movie which stars the late Whitney Houston).

The film was directed by Darrel J. Roodt and is also to be released soon.

When this movie comes out, am so running to the cinema!

Sunday Times Newspaper has declared Daniel Radcliffe aka Harry Porter as the richest UK actor.

He is worth about 1.1 trillion naira (they reported it in dollars but I did my quick calculation). This money thereby crowns him as the Number 1 youngest billionaire under age 30.

As a Nigerian, I must say that money is HOT! Yea the money, not the guy! Lol…
